What is your name?
Mulyadi Sannang
What is your position at GroundProbe?
GSS Remote Monitoring Manager Asia, based in Balikpapan, Indonesia
How long have you been with GroundProbe?
9+ Years
How did you start your career at GroundProbe?
I joined GroundProbe back in 2014. At the time, I was one of only two engineers on the geotechnical team in Indonesia. Remarkably, the team has grown to more than +150 engineers worldwide working from 3 different geotechnical centers, including Balikpapan – Indonesia, Santiago – Chile, and Belo Horizonte – Brazil.
What does your current role at GroundProbe entail?
As a part of the GroundProbe Geotechnical Support Service (GSS) Team, I lead the Asia-based Geotechnical Support Service (GSS) remote monitoring team with more than 75 engineers, driving top-quality service delivery and ensuring uncompromised client safety and operational excellence. We have tracked around slope +5000 failures for our customers, ensuring they can achieve their mining target and return home safely to their loved ones.
What makes your job unique?
Working at GroundProbe has given me a golden opportunity to analyze different mine slope failure data, visit many open pit mines, share and network with geotechnical engineers worldwide, experience many cultures, taste different cuisines, and make many new global friends.
What do you love most about working at GroundProbe?
At GroundProbe, I directly contribute to saving the lives of our customers worldwide, making my work incredibly rewarding.
