Observing the true impact of the HOPE Terampil Digital program
In May 2025, two representatives from GroundProbe Indonesia, Rania Salsabila and Richa Diliantari, travelled to Sangatta in East Kalimantan, Indonesia, to observe the ongoing impact of the HOPE Terampil Digital program—a grassroots initiative providing digital education and skills development to local students. The Orica Impact Fund funds the program, which is delivered in collaboration with HOPE Worldwide Indonesia and GroundProbe. The initiative aims to equip young people with essential digital literacy skills, helping to unlock new opportunities in education, employment, and personal growth. Their visit focused on two partner schools—Sangatta Selatan and Sangatta Utara—both actively participating in the program. The goal was to gain a deeper understanding of how the community is responding to the initiative and to identify opportunities for ongoing improvement.
A Closer Look at the Program in Action
During their time on the ground, the team:

What They Observed
Both schools showed enthusiastic participation and a strong commitment to digital learning. Teachers emphasised the transformative power of digital literacy, noting how it has opened new pathways for students and helped to build confidence and practical skills.
These findings reaffirm that the HOPE Terampil Digital program successfully equips students with technical knowledge and inspires them to imagine brighter futures.
