Based in Lisbon, Portugal, Matt Ross serves as our Vice President for Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA). With nearly two years in the role and more than two decades of global leadership experience in the construction and chemicals sectors, Matt has brought invaluable expertise, a commitment to transparent leadership, and a strong focus on building collaborative, high-performing teams.

Joining GroundProbe during a time of evolving industry dynamics, Matt faced the challenge of leading a geographically dispersed team. From the outset, he focused on driving strategic initiatives and encouraging a long-term, forward-thinking mindset across the region. His leadership has been instrumental in guiding the EMEA team from daily execution to broader business planning and growth.

Before GroundProbe, Matt held senior leadership roles at Mapei and BASF. At Mapei, he led the Infrastructure & Mining division for the Asia Pacific region, delivering an impressive 40% year-on-year growth over three years. At BASF, he managed the strategic drive of the Asia Pacific portfolio and transformed a loss-making division in Australia and New Zealand into a profitable business within twelve months.

This proven track record has equipped Matt with a deep understanding of global operations and market complexity, experience that has translated into tangible success at GroundProbe. One of his key achievements has been reducing debt provision to one of the best-performing metrics in the company, a result driven by open communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Just as importantly, Matt is committed to people and culture. He continues to lead efforts to build a performance-driven team with clear goals, strong discipline, and a shared sense of purpose.
