Introducing Rizky Muhti, Technical Specialist, Indonesia

At GroundProbe, our people are our greatest strength. When you join us, you become part of a team that values trust, continuous learning, and both personal and professional growth.
Meet Rizky Muhti: GroundProbe’s Technical Specialist based In Indonesia.
What’s your role at GroundProbe, and what does a typical day look like?
“I work as a Technical Specialist at GroundProbe. My primary responsibility is ensuring that GroundProbe’s Slope Stability Radars (SSRs) operate seamlessly to help safeguard mining activities from geotechnical risks. Since I frequently visit sites and interact with customers, I act as the face of the company. This means I prioritise safety, punctuality, professionalism, and effective handling of customer concerns to ensure their satisfaction with our products and services.”
What drew you to join the GroundProbe team?
“I first encountered the SSR in 2018 while working at Freeport’s Grasberg mine in Papua. It immediately piqued my interest, and I looked it up online—I thought it was an amazing technology. Then, in 2024, a friend already working at GroundProbe told me about a job opening for a Technical Specialist. I asked him about the industry, company culture, and other details, and his answers resonated with me. I decided to apply, and fortunately, I’m now part of the GroundProbe team.”
What makes your job unique?
“One of the things I love about my job is the opportunity to visit various sites across Asia and meet different people. I also find it incredibly exciting to work with Slope Stability Radars—there’s nothing quite like it in the world. GroundProbe is the pioneer and industry leader in SSR technology and being part of that is both unique and fulfilling.”
What’s your favourite part about working at GroundProbe?
“I enjoy gaining international exposure through my work with GroundProbe and Orica. The management at GroundProbe Indonesia fosters an “open communication” style, which allows for meaningful discussions and feedback—a management approach I deeply value. Additionally, it’s rewarding to know that my work contributes to making mining operations safer worldwide. I also appreciate GroundProbe’s connection to Orica Digital Solutions, as I’m passionate about staying informed on the latest technological developments in the mining industry. It’s exciting to think about where Orica Digital Solutions will go from here.”
Can you share a little about yourself—hobbies, passions, or anything you’d like us to know?
“I’m passionate about photography, travelling, and learning new languages. I’m confident in my English skills, hold an A1 certificate in German, and my next goal is to learn Spanish. I’ve taught myself these languages using books, language-learning apps, and movies—no formal classes. My long-term goal is to work internationally, and I believe my love for languages will help me achieve that.”
