Meet Yanpeng Li, a talented BE/ME Student working within our Research & Development Department, Brisbane, Australia
Yanpeng is on track to complete his Bachelor and Master of Engineering at the University of Queensland, majoring in Electrical and Biomedical Engineering. With a passion for solving complex problems, he has spent his academic journey mastering skills in programming, embedded systems, circuit design, and computer vision—building a strong technical foundation that sets him apart.
But that’s just the beginning! During his studies, Yanpeng has delved into advanced coursework in Digital Signal Processing, Computer Vision, and Deep Learning. From developing image recognition algorithms to creating data filtering techniques, he has turned theory into innovative, real-world solutions.
Now, as part of our R&D team, Yanpeng is tackling an exciting project on radar data contamination. He is investigating how vehicle and machinery movement affects radar data and is focused on developing smart contamination rejection techniques. His work is crucial in ensuring our systems remain accurate and reliable, regardless of environmental challenges.
So, what inspired Yanpeng to join GroundProbe? For him, it was our reputation for cutting-edge advancements in real-time geohazard monitoring. He was drawn to the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team, where he could apply his technical expertise to real-world challenges that make a tangible impact.
“The chance to work on innovative solutions that improve safety and reliability is what excites me most. Being part of a team that values both technical excellence and meaningful impact is truly inspiring.”
