Meet Liam Colquhoun, Power Platform Engineer at GroundProbe, who is helping transform how we work—one Power App at a time.

In just 12 months since joining GroundProbe, Liam has made a major impact across the business. We sat down with him to learn more about his journey, his passion for data, and what excites him most about his new role.

A New Role, A New Challenge

Now a key member of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) project team, Liam is supporting the company’s transition to revolutionising how we work across departments.

“My main responsibilities include building reports to generate meaningful insights from D365 and other data sources, creating custom Power Apps to enhance processes like expense capturing, and configuring Excel templates for financial reporting.”

Projects to Watch

With the project well underway, Liam is excited about contributing to a large-scale digital transformation.

“It’s a huge shift that will touch nearly every part of the business. Being part of something that will shape GroundProbe’s future is a unique opportunity.”

Learning from the Best

While the technology is exciting, Liam says the real value lies in the people he works with.

“The ERP team is made up of people with such a wide range of skills and deep knowledge. I’m learning every day, not just about the platform, but also about working in a high-performing, collaborative environment.”

The Journey So Far

Liam’s path to Power Platform engineering began just a few years ago.

“I first discovered Power BI during a university data analytics module in 2020, where I presented insights into COVID-19 trends. That sparked my interest in data visualisation, which I explored further in an internship and later in full-time roles.”

Now at GroundProbe, Liam is working with technologies that didn’t even exist when he was in high school—a fact that highlights just how fast digital tools are evolving.

“What I love about this role is how new and dynamic the technology is. There’s always something new to learn, and always a better way to do things.”

From improving workplace safety with digital tools to supporting a company-wide ERP rollout, Liam is helping GroundProbe shape a more efficient and connected future—one solution at a time.
