Mining GroundProbe uses low-frequency GPR for mining industries to provide a high resolution image of deep geological interfaces. The most common applications of GPR are the mapping of paleochannels in alluvial environments (gold, diamond and tin), the imaging of tropical weathering environments such as in nickel laterite and bauxite mining, as well as aggregate exploration and resource quantification. GroundProbe personnel have worked extensively throughout North and South America, Australia and Africa on alluvial projects using GPR technology to locate and trace paleochannels both on land and within active river systems. GroundProbe staff's laterite and bauxite experience is unmatched, having completed large-scale geophysics studies on every major nickel laterite deposit around the world. Work has been performed on all six continents on every type of laterite deposit. |
